Essay 1: Autocratic Monarchy and more views of Autocracy from history.

There are too many nations to name, and too many types of government to list. One of types of government is called Autocracy, also known as, Autocratic Monarchy. If a nation has Autocracy as a form of government, the ruler gets to be in charge of everything, basically obeying the king or queen’s laws is the biggest part of living to people who live in that nation. What is exactly Autocracy? The definition of Autocracy is a form of government where unlimited power is held by a single individual. (1) Autocracy is the term that is originally from the Greek and it means an individual gets to rule the nation. In Eastern Europe countries, it was very common, since they had kings or queens who ruled the nation by himself/herself.

Now, let's look at the term Autocracy in someone's point of view. Before I begin writing about other person's point of view in the history, let me start off with my point of view on the word "autocracy." When I first heard the word, I knew it was something that has to do with monarchy, because I recognized the prefix "auto." I personally believe it's not a good decision to live in a place where it has Autocratic Monarchy as a form of government. Seriously, Who wants to be ruled by a single person for a long period of time? I mean, if it's unnecessary, who wants to be obedient and gets no freedom? After I've searched more information about Autocracy on internet, I've came up with the conclusion that it is the best form of government for kings of queens, since they get to decide however they want to. Back then, in some of European Countries, the autocracy was a common type of government. Russia was part of those countries who had autocracy as a form of government. (6) Even now, there are some countries with autocratic monarchy as a form of government. For example, Korea had autocratic monarchy as a form of government before Japanese people invaded Korea and separated into two different nations.

Supposedly, autocratic monarchy, also known as totalitarianism was formed to make good communist system in European Countries. (3) The word totalitarianism can break down to two different words: Fascism and Communism.

Now, let's look at some models in history that are related to the term "autocracy." Nicholas II can be one of them, the last emperor of Russia (1894-1917) (4) Nicholas was educated and has an authoritarian personality like his father, Alexander III. If you look at the leaders who were involved in autocratic monarchy system, some of them are educated well and have been taught from their parents who were also the rulers of the nation. Nicholas tended to believe them and the preservation of autocracy remained the guiding principle of his reign.(4)

As I looked through the internet to search about autocracy, I've found the original copy of THE TREW LAW OF FREE MONARCHIES.(5) The document is from the time when King James ruled. I've found it interesting, because at the end of that document, it has some opinions about what their God will think if they do such things. I've always thought the term of monarchy had to do with just one single person whose full of himself/herself without believing in any gods.

It's quite obvious, the popularity of autocracy is going down in this world.(2) Now these days, most of people believe that they have rights to do everything, which makes them not wanting to live under a single ruler.
For example, reading the articles about the countries with autocratic monarchy might make people to go against that kind of government. For example, the nation called Nepal, the king took control over the government (7).

Therefore, everyone has its own opinion about the term "Autocracy," and some country's nation thinks its dangerous, (8) but I've concluded that the form of government such as autocratic monarchy is to form a better nation in the ruler's point of view.
